A good diet helps as well. When arthritis comes in the form of gout, the correct food intake can help. Alcohol and food high in purines (organ meats, dried beans, sardines, anchovies, asparagus, and mushrooms) should be avoided because when the body breaks down purines uric acid is produced. This acid deposits painful crystals in the joints. Cherries can also help to reduce uric acid levels as well as inflammation. A study that was done concerning cherries and gout showed that eating cherries can reduce the chance of a gout attack by 50%. Also, eating cherries can reduce the likelihood of more gout attacks by 40%.

 

Arthritis Relief From Drugs

 

There are NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) that can help with arthritis. They interfere with the prostaglandin chemicals which trigger pain. Common ones that are non-prescription are Advil, Aleve, and aspirin. Others, however, need to be prescribed by a doctor; they include Celebrex, Anaprox, and Feldene. Some people even find relief by using CBD oils or hemp oil. You can easily buy cbd oil in a lot of states/countries – but be sure to consult with your doctor before. These drugs are very good at relieving pain and swelling in all types of arthritis as well as gout. However, when seeking relief from arthritis from drugs, keep in mind there are possible side effects from them. They can cause stomach bleeding, increased risk for a heart attack, stroke, or other kinds of cardiovascular problems (especially when a high dose is taken).
